2010 MLB Predictions

Spring training is finally over, and fantasy baseball is underway.  As I watch the Soxx continue to play like tonight’s game is an exhibition contest I will put forth my predictions for the upcoming season.  They are as follows:

NL MVP – Albert Pujols
AL MVP – Alex Rodriguez

NL Cy Young – Roy Halladay
AL Cy Young – Felix Hernandez

NL Central – St. Louis Cardinals
NL West – Colorado Rockies
NL East – Philadelphia Phillies
NL Wildcard – Atlanta Braves

AL Central – Minnesota Twins
AL West – Texas Rangers
AL East – New York Yankees
AL Wildcard – Tampa Bay Rays

World Series – Cardinals over Yankees (I am a huge Cardinals fan)

1- Way to go out on a limb for the Cy Young/MVP picks…

2- Cards can’t beat the Phils.

3- Rangers…? Unless Nolan Ryan himself pitches, they don’t have it…

4- Reasonable pick with the Twins, but again – I don’t have the pitching

      1. how often does someone unusual win the cy young or mvp? rarely. Those are two of the best and most consistent guys around for MVP. Halladay hasnt won a cy young since 2003 I believe and Felix, never.
      2. Cards can beat anyone with Wainwright and Carp on their game.
      3. The AL West is up for grabs. You said go out on a limp for the MVP/Cy Young picks so instead I am going out on a limb here.
      4. Twins are my homer pick. I will be rooting for them so it makes it easier.
